A Team or Business label marks the lowest plan that includes a feature; the others are on every plan, Free included.
Share links
Create a link from a Gallery selection, one asset, or a collection with its sub-collections. Choose anyone with the link, listed email addresses or company domains, or a password. Freedam checks each asset's usage rights first and leaves out the assets the chosen access does not allow.
Link settings
Allow view only, or downloads at the original size, 1024 px or 256 px for images. Set an opening date, an expiry date and a readable link address, and add a watermark where your plan includes watermarks. Listed recipients are emailed when you change the dates, download options or password.
What recipients get
Recipients open the link in a browser without an account, search the share, preview files full screen and move between shared collections. They download one file, a selection, a collection or everything as a ZIP, at the size you allowed or smaller. A Contact button emails the sender.
Share collections with colleagues
Pick users, groups or both. Group membership is checked each time, so people added to a group later get access too. Recipients find the collection in their Shared with me list, and you can pause, reactivate or revoke the share from the collection's Sharing tab.
Public portal
Switch the portal on in Settings and visitors browse the homepage, gallery and public collections, search and download without signing in. By default they get web-sized images and never original image files. Guest access rules can hide assets, add watermarks, grant originals for a press kit or require a download request.
Share overview
Administrators with the Manage all shares permission list every share and filter by type, access, status, owner, expiry or inactivity. They can change an expiry, pause, revoke or reactivate a share, and export external shares to CSV. The same page sets which websites may embed shared videos.
Download dialog
Download opens one dialog that lists the sizes your role may download, with a recommended size and a predicted file size, plus any approved renderings. When an access rule or rights policy asks for it, people state their intended use, acknowledge a message or accept the usage rights before downloading.
Download and rendition requests
When an asset needs approval, people send a reason with their request, and the reviewer chooses which sizes to grant. Approved requesters get an email with download links valid for 24 hours. Submitted renderings, such as AI edits, wait in the same queue until a reviewer approves or rejects them.
Export
Exports of up to 10,000 assets are prepared in the background and downloaded from the Task Center. A ZIP can include a metadata spreadsheet and previews, the PDF is a contact sheet or a lighter portfolio in A4 or Letter, and the CSV lists every metadata field. Exports only include assets you may download.
File naming on export
Administrators build file names from asset fields, custom metadata and fixed text, joined by a separator they choose, and check the result on a real asset before saving. Each rule targets single downloads, ZIP downloads, share downloads or share ZIPs, and the highest priority rule wins.
Comments
Comment on an asset or a collection, reply in threads and mention colleagues with @. A mention sends an email with a button that opens the comment. The asset's uploader or the collection's creator is emailed about new comments, and anyone who can see the item can resolve them.
Follow collections
Freedam emails you when assets are added to a collection you follow, whether by upload, from the Gallery or through a collection rule, and counts the update on your Subscriptions page. Additions within about two minutes arrive in one email, which has links to stop following that collection or all of them.
Dashboard
People with the Edit the dashboard permission build the homepage from blocks such as recent and popular assets, featured collections, the brand guide, banners, news and search. Edits are saved as a draft until you publish, and earlier versions can be restored. Each person only sees the assets they may access.
Announcements
Write a banner shown under the app header, with a title, text and an optional link in each interface language. Set start and end times, pick a tone such as information or warning, and show it to everyone or only to users who match rules on role, group, email domain or name.
